Healers

Gatherers

Extract from the book…

Healers are both Open and Indirect. They have the closest traits associated to the Water element. Our ancestral Caveman Healers would have been the ones who looked after the tribe. They would be caring for the sick and treating the wounded. They liked to be around people and especially around those who needed them. The tribe accepted the role of a Healer as the go-to person when someone needed someone to listen or just a little TLC. The Healer just wanted everyone to be healthy and happy. Healers were the ‘people’ pleasers of the tribe. Healers were the ones that the people in the tribe turned to when they wanted someone to listen. They were the ones the others offloaded their worries to. Healers were the gentle, kind and approachable individuals within the group. Undoubtedly, their caring attitude would have been taken advantage off by a few of the other tribe members. They
would have been easy targets for the practical jokers and may have been easily swindled by a few as well…

Gatherers

Gatherers

Extract from the book…

Gathers are both Closed and Indirect. They are the closest tribe member to the Earth element. Our ancestral Cavemen Gatherers were the cautious ones of the group. They would be suspicious of everything and everyone, whether they knew them or they had only just met. They would not have put themselves in harm’s way, unless they carried out some sort of risk assessment first. They were the first to have thought of something like our ‘Health and Safety’, and probably went around training people on how to handle fire before they were allowed to discover it.

They were the sensible ones of the tribe, standing back, watching people fail, taking notes of how not to hurt themselves and not ending up on ‘CaveTube fails’…

Protectors

Protectors

Extract from the book…

Protectors have both Closed and Direct personality traits. Protectors are closest to the Fire element. Our Caveman ancestor Protectors will have known that they had a very important job but they wouldn’t have gone on about it. They will have been big, tough and been able to defend the tribe from any outside threats or aggressors. Protectors will have been the ones who managed the tribe’s rules, ensuring they
were enforced and people got punished for breaking them. They will have followed these rules and agreements, getting very upset when people broke them.

Protectors will have been the disciplinarians of the tribe. Their job of protecting the cave and its occupants will have been seen as them being in charge of the tribe…

Hunters

Hunters

Extract from the book…

Hunters are Open and Direct, and of the four basic elements, they are the closest to the Air element. Looking back at our ancestral Caveman, we would have seen the Hunter telling everyone how important they were, that they were the gel that held the tribe together. These Cavemen were the main Hunters, hence the name. They would have been the fearless ones, going out of the cave to hunt for dangerous animals, so that the tribe could survive. They were willing to put their lives on the line and wanted the respect that went with that commitment. They would have been the wannabe celebrities of their time. They would have needed a big farewell as they left for a hunt and wanting a bigger hero’s welcome when they returned.

There is no doubt that our Caveman Hunters, living so dangerously all the time, would have been the jokers of the tribe….
